INTRODUCING EXECUTIVE CHEF
Chef Chris Moon is a classically trained hands-on executive chef with a wide ranging culinary career. Trained at the Wolfgang Puck Cafe, sister restaurant to Spago, in the Wolfgang Puck family of eateries in Los Angeles, CA, he sought to learn from the renowned chef's expertise. As a teenager, Chef Moon, visited Spago with his family, and the entire dining experience left an indelible impression upon him, cementing his passion for his future career at that very moment.
As a community-minded chef, he has had the honor of participating in the culinary production for The Children's Coalition Foundation in Beverly Hills with Chef Russell Jackson.
He has lent his expertise to several well-respected restaurants in the North East, as a consultant and as Executive Chef, and has been instrumental in the success of opening many of them. A natural leader with extensive culinary as well as management background, he has brought that experience to prestigious clubs in the region leading large scale teams.
Chef Moon has also been fortunate enough to have his talents requested to cook for many well-known celebrity clients as well as orchestrate specialty functions for the some of our country's most prestigious universities.
He feels that the finest expression of the art-form is found in a colorful approach to cuisine with honest flavors and ingredients.
We're thrilled to welcome him to The Bookstore Speakeasy family! We do ordinarily rotate our menu seasonally, but before we do move on to the Spring menu, you'll notice immediate changes to the Winter Menu for 2019. We'll be featuring daily dessert menus, daily fresh seafood offerings, and many other exciting changes to the current menu. We have had rave reviews of Chef Moon's influence thus far and we invite everyone to come and try for his creations for yourself. We're certain you won't be disappointed.
